The first of our 5 talks is an overview of lung ultrasound for the perioperative physician by Dr. Emilee Borgmeier.  In addition to being an expert echocardiographer, Dr. Borgmeier is also fellowship trained in perioperative medicine and does a great job reviewing this topic!  Enjoy

The first talk below is Dr. Griffee’s review of lung ultrasound for pneumothorax.  As a critical care echocardiographer his perspective is always appreciated!  To follow is Dr. Griffee’s review of lung ultrasound for “water” (effusion and lung density.)  

These two talks were delivered to our lectures series by my lung ultrasound mentor and international expert, Dr. Alberto Goffi.  Lung ultrasound may not be rocket surgery, but it does need to be taken seriously!
